Preface
It gives me great pleasure to write the preface of the second volume of Slide Interpretation in Clinical Medicine. After the popularity of the first volume, I was encouraged to write the second volume. The book is based on slides from various disciplines of medicine and also comprises a variety of slides from radiology. The format of the book is very simple. A slide is shown with a brief case scenario and related questions are asked. Precise answers are given overleaf.
This book is very useful for Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE) and Task Oriented Assessment of Clinical Skills (TOACS) which are essential components of under and postgraduate examinations in this era.
The language is simple and the text is compact. It is not a textbook, therefore to have further explanations one should consult standard text books which are listed in the bibliography at the end of the book.
I have tried my level best to minimize the flaws in this book, but if there are any mistakes or lacunae, please do write your comments and useful suggestions to improve the next edition of this book.
Now sit back, relax, have a cup of coffee and read through the book. Firstly, try to answer the questions yourself, note them and then see the answers overleaf.
Best of luck for your examinations.
