This book introduces licorice as alternative medicine, its application in the industry, licorice ingredients and their antioxidant; proposes the possible molecular mechanism by which licorice ingredients induce anti-inflammatory, antifibrosis, antihepatitis, and antileishmanial activity. The book is also aimed to highlight the current understanding of the mechanism of bioactive constituents of licorice, which potentiates them as antileishmanial agents.
