Beyond 20 years ago, the concept of social capital has increasingly gained attention of different disciplines and has led to research as well as discussion in the fields of social science and political regarding to Natasha R. Magson, Rhonda G. Craven and Gawaian H. Bodkin-Andrews in the year 2014. Studies done on social capital idea and the term has been widely used in many fields of the social sciences which indicate basic ideas related to social bond which may functions to provide information, influence and solidarity which eventually developed into an area of social capital. The idea of social capital attracted many researchers today which make social capital concept more multi-disciplinary nature and have a specific topic. This view was expressed by Seok-Woo Kwon in 2014. Thus, this book aims to provide information on the effect of social capital on educational attainment of schools’ students in rural areas (villages). The contents of the book consists of an introduction which give the preliminary of the study, the theory and the concept of social capital, the location of the study, the results of research and discussions, recommendations and conclusions.
