In this book Zurinah traces her involvement in the world of literature and the creative processes in the production of her works, especiall poems and short stories. Previously she had written two books on her artistic undertakings. However this book highlights the cultural background and social challenges faced by women writers in projecting their voices. The book touched on the early development of modern Malay literature and the emergence of Malaysian women writers and their struggles in pursuing their ambition. It is hoped that Zurinah’s share of experiences can be an insight and a guide to readers particularly aspiring writers.
